The software version on the appliance is whatever version the previous owner installed on the part. We could not sell software to you. If you wanted to change the IOS, you would need to purchase the part and then contact the OEM directly for support options and pricing.
The PIX-501 and the PIX-501-BUN-K9 have the same hardware and the same software, the difference is in the license that allows usage of 3DES encryption algorithm. This license can now be obtained for free, and you can find information on the following page:
