  • Frank, I’m not sure where you are referencing the word “license” here. Perhaps you are referring to the firmware on the phone?
    In which case, we typicaly pick up phones that have 1 or 2 firware versions installed by the previous owners. We cannot sell or upgrade firmware versions of licenses. However we inventory so many phones that we can usually supply you with what you are looking for. I suggest you speak directly with a UsedCisco.com sales rep for more advice on your specific configuration.

  • To access the firewall, using the included rollover cable, connect the RJ-45 end to the console port of the firewall and the other to the DB-9 serial port on a PC. Open HyperTerminal on your PC or another terminal emulator program (putty, for instance). Adjust the settings to reflect the following after choosing the correct COM port:

    Bits per sec : 9600
    Data bits : 8
    Parity : none
    Stop bits : 1
    Flow control : none

    Once these characteristics are set, start a new session and you’ll be able to access the firewall once it’s powered on. Upon completion of booting, you’ll be prompted to pre-configure the router with assistance or you can enter yourself using the command line interface with appropriate commands.
